Share photos, maps or corrections

This site grows from what fans share. Here is what helps most, and how to send it.

What’s most wanted

  • Photos of rides and shows that have no picture yet, especially from the 1960s through the 1990s (for example Big Bend, Spindletop, Wildcatter, the Right Stuff simulator and the original Looney Tunes kids’ area).
  • Park maps and souvenir guides for years that are missing or only exist as poor scans.
  • Corrections: opening or closing years, ride names, prices, attendance, or anything that looks wrong.

How to send

Email submissions@lifthillhistory.com. Please include:

  • The park, and the ride, show or year it shows
  • Roughly when the photo was taken, if you know
  • Who took it, and how you’d like to be credited (your name, a nickname, or a link)
  • For corrections, where the information comes from, if you have a source

Large files are fine. If an email bounces for size, send a link to a shared folder (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Proton Drive) instead.

Permission. Only send photos you took yourself, or ones you have the right to share. By sending a photo you give Lift Hill History permission to show it on this noncommercial site with the credit you ask for. You keep the copyright, and you can ask for it to be removed at any time.

What happens next

Submissions are reviewed by hand, so it can take a little while. Photos where a child is the main subject usually aren’t used. You’ll get a reply when something goes up, or if there are questions.
